Between 30th May and 14th June 2015, the From Poland to Waltham Forest exhibition runs at Vestry House Museum, as part of the E17 Art Trail.
Characters from over 150 years of migration come to life through film, photography, audio and archive materials. See and hear stories of Polish soldiers fleeing the Russian Tsarist regime, Poles who built RAF planes and stormed the Normandy beaches, Holocaust survivors, and economic migrants who teach our children, fix our homes and love our football teams.
From Poland to Waltham Forest is a project from Share UK, a non profit organisation based in E17. It’s been over two years in the making and features photography from Mark Burton and films from Kate Hampel.
